Peggy Simmons Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Simmons (Belzoni, Mississippi), born in Tyronza, Arkansas, who passed away on September 19, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Parker Bowen and Gertrude Bowen; and her sister Joan Bowen Smith (John H. Emrich, Jr). She is survived by: her children, John H. Emrich, III (Naomi) of Ebenezer, MS and Jane Emrich Lee (David) of Fairhope, AL.; her stepdaughters, Ann Simmons Tanner (Steve) of Leawood, Sharon Simmons Sandahl (Todd) of Nashville, TN and Susan Simmons Santucci (Anthony) of Greenville, MS; and her brother Dan Bowen (Anne) of Madison. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren as well as many step grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Beulah Baptist Church, Inverness Mississippi and the Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson, MS.
