He was predeceased by: his parents, Nell Ingold Simmons and Thomas Mark Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his daughters, Ann Simmons Tanner, Steve, Susan Simmons Santucci, Anthony, Sharon Simmons Sandahl and Todd; his stepchildren, John H. Emrich III and Jane Emrich Lee; his child Office of Development; and also, Naomi and David. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
