She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude D. Pistole and Carrie Linebarger Pistole; and her sisters, Montez Coleman and Louise Hall. She is survived by: her brother C. D. Pistole, Jr.; and her sons, Billy Joe Lewis, Jerry Lewis and Larry Lewis (Joan). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her church, Gooden Lake Baptist Church, 4432 Gooden Lake Road, Belzoni, Mississippi 39038.
