It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Eugene Farris of Belmont, Mississippi, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Crewey Farris; his parents, Grant Farris and Ada Farris; and his siblings, Mable Wagner, Alice Debord, Virginia Farris, Charles Farris and Bill Farris.
He is survived by: his children, Darlene Hickman (Rick) of Knoxville, Tenn., Dennis Farris (Linda) of Marion, Jeff Farris (Rhonda) of Belmont and Todd Farris (Melody); his sister-in-law Louise Thompson (Bill) of Marion; his brother Earl Farris (Nancy) of Kingsport, Tenn.; and his grandchildren, Jason, Sara, Michelle, Crystal, Tanner, Taylor, Nick, Jay and Jeremy. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
