He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Dillard and Kathleen Stokes Dillard McCarty; his wife Josephine "Josie" Dillard; and his brother David McCarty. He is survived by: his caregiver Sandra Cochran (Hugh) of Belden; his siblings, Kathy Kelly and Mike McCarty (Teenie); his sister-in-law Ruby McCarty; and his friends, Kenny, Letitia Gassaway, Angie Sennett, Karen Nichols and Mike Coker.
