She was predeceased by: her brothers, Isaac Reno Gatwood and Miles Millard Gatwood. She is survived by: her children, Walter Fleming, Miles Dean Fleming, Jefferson Fleming, Franklin Reno Fleming, Katherine Clark, Daniel Miller and Mary Jean Johnson; and her siblings, Ann Berry and Bruce Gatwood. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
