He was predeceased by: his daughter Vicki Baker; his grandchildren, Lacey Jean Herring and Seth Parker; his brother Marvin Herring; and his parents, Ammon Herring and Gertrude Herring.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Herring; his children, Dexter Herring (Sherry), Ammon Herring (Cindy), Charlie Herring (Crystal) and Renee Parker (Dan); his grandchildren, Brook Gandy, Marcie Thompson, Mark Herring, Hannah Buckley, Dana Gould, Richard Barnett, Jeremy Barnett, Hope Barnett, Taylor Baker, Haley Herring, Austin Herring, Blair Evans, Paxton Herring and Cambrie Thomas; his great grandchildren, Abby Gandy, Kaiden Thompson, Kaeden Thompson, Tatum Thompson, Evie Jane Herring and Christopher Gould; and his siblings, Euna Mae Steele, Carolyn Sue Shoemake, Lena Ruth Hall, Avil Herring, Lauris Herring and Edsel Herring.
