He was predeceased by: his former wife Myrlene Grayson Cannon; his son Dan Cannon; his parents, Thomas Edward Cannon, Sr. and Lennie Woods Cannon; and his brothers, Houston Cannon and Douglas Cannon.

He is survived by: his wife Margie Cannon; his children, Tommy Cannon (Jean), Carla Moore (Jerry) and Cindy Hill (Shawn); his stepsons, Neil Moss (Dena) and Ricky Moss (Ann); and his siblings, Bill Cannon (Kathy), Louis Cannon (Linda) and Margaret James. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other extended family.
