With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ann Jernigan Nix of Bay Springs, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 21, 2024 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her husbands, J. C. Jernigan and Summit Blackwell; her parents, Ralph Nix and Irma Lee Nix; her grandson Jeffrey Page; and her sister Velma Reece Blackwell.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Ainsworth (Virgil) of Laurel, Adair Jernigan (Diane) of Brandon, Becky Ulmer (Allen) of Bay Springs and Tammy White (Donnie) of Bay Springs; her grandchildren, Jason Page, Andrew Jernigan (Sarah), Phillip Jernigan (Robyn), Joseph Jernigan (Kelsey), Calah Bohannon (Andrew), Bryce Ulmer and Jess White; her granddaughter-in-law Randi Page; her great grandchildren, Mattie Page, Carley Page, Isaiah Page, Fisher Page, Landry Page, Leah Jernigan, Drew Anna Jernigan, Mabry Jernigan, Brooklyn Jernigan, Londyn Jernigan, Cooper Jernigan, Langley Jernigan, Brycen Pittman, Foster and Jaycee Ulmer (Jayke Ulmer); her sisters, Katie Mae Sanders of Sumrall and Brookie Merchant of Laurel; and also Jimmy Nix of Bay Springs. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
