She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Joseph McDevitt and Laura Bernice Thigpen McDevitt; and her brother Al McDevitt. She is survived by: her husband William Earl Smith; her children, Mikell Smith (Tracie), Melissa Probst (Walter) and Michelle Crace (Nathan); her grandchildren, Emily Reeves (Logan), Cameron Crace, Cole Crace, Anna Probst, John Probst and Mason Smith; and her brothers, John Paul McDevitt (Joyce) and Ricky McDevitt (Judy).
