He was predeceased by: his daughter Rebecca Lane Anderson; his parents, James Warren Anderson and Wilma Frank Grissom Anderson; and his sisters, Nancy Anderson Spradley and Susan Anderson Brewer.
He is survived by: his wife Myra Allgood Anderson of Bay Springs, MS; his son John Daniel Anderson (Jerrica) of Bay Springs, MS; his siblings, Kenneth Anderson of Stringer, MS, Betty Anderson of Stringer, MS and Margaret Anderson Carter (Bill) of Stringer, MS; and his sister-in-law Jane Anderson of Laurel, MS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
