He was predeceased by: his wife Debbie Thornton; and his father John Thornton. He is survived by: his daughter Felicia Knotts; his mother Louise Thornton; his sisters, Patsy Welborn, Jean Mealer and Peggy Knight; his grandchildren, Austin Knotts, Dylan Knotts and Alexis McDaniel; and his fiancé Gwin Sullivan.
