With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Allen Lightsey of Bay Springs, Mississippi, who passed away on January 24, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mott Lightsey and Bessie Lightsey; his wife Martha Faye Windham Lightsey; and his siblings, Gordon, William Thomas, Max, Hubbard Lightsey and Kate Bennett.
He is survived by: his children, Joey Lightsey, Susie Rustin and Rebecca Holder (Joe); his grandchildren, Ben Rustin, Daniel Rustin, Sarah Howard (Zac), Maggie Ishee (Lance) and Benton Holder (Diana); his sister Rachel Hendon of Gulfport; and his sister-in-law Joan Moody of Bay Springs. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
