He was predeceased by: his wife Mollie Herrington Stringer; his daughter Rhonda McCrory; his daughter-in-law Judy Stringer; his parents, Henry Taylor and Dovie Martin Stringer; his sisters, Irma Doris James (Duford), Buradell Kitrell (James) and Melva Jean Beatty (Claude); and his siblings-in-law, Sonny Herrington and Jan Hough (Eddie).
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Stringer (Mary), Keith Stringer (Debbie), Bruce Stringer (Christy), Delwyn Savell (Charles) and Gina Pearson (Mark); his son-in-law Ronnie McCrory; his grandchildren, Shan Cargile (Mandy), Lee McCrory (Jennifer), Josh Stringer (Jessica), Carrie Tucker (Terry), Chloe Neimeyer (Kenny), Chanda Walker, Tanya Stringer, Meagan Stringer, Daniel Stringer, Mollie Guess (Josh) and Carla Pearson; his great grandchildren, Douglas Lofton (Cassidy), Tori Tucker, Trent Tucker, Zach Walker, Alana Walker, Rebecca Gately (Logan), Luke Cargile (Samantha), Taylor Cargile, Hunter McCrory, Caroline Stringer, Cullen Stringer, Grayson Stringer, Mason Guess, Haley Robinson and Candace Robinson; his great great grandchildren, Deacon Lofton and Darby Lofton; and his sister-in-law Shelia Herrington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
