He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus J. DIxon and Helen Pittman Dixon; his stepmother Frances Dixon; and his stepbrother Max Hendry. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Smith Dixon of Bay Springs; his children, George Albert Dixon, Jr. and Elaine Stringer (Eric) of Bay Springs; his grandchildren, Madison Stringer and Mason Stringer; his half-brother Jay Dixon (Sandee) of Stringer; and his stepsiblings, Barney Hendry of Bay Springs and Maxine Williams (Lonnie) of Bay Springs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs (22 E 4th Ave, Bay Springs, MS 39422). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
