He was predeceased by: his father Elbert F. Upton; his grandparents, Robert Lee, Vivian Upton, Deavours and Beatrice Brady; and his nephew Breland Boykin.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Creel Upton; his son Elbert F. "Hank" Upton III (Paulina); his mother Bonnie Sue Upton; his sisters, Doris Boykin Ingram and Kathy Patterson; his nieces, Shelley Boykin Bradshaw (Gaylon) and Alison Williams (Mason); and his nephew Brance Boykin (Cisly). He is also survived by great-nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seth Harris Childhood Cancer Foundation in Frankie's name.
