He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Adell Payton and Ora D. Gavin; his son Patrick Payton; and his sisters, Mary Helen Ratcliff and Mary Alice Grant. He was also cherished by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren as well as other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gavin Chapel (89 Edmund King Dr, Bay Springs, MS 39422).
