He was predeceased by: his parents, B. B. Stringer and Myra Blackwell Stringer; and his siblings, George Stringer, Lawrence Stringer, Albert Stringer, Frank Stringer, Robert Stringer, Myrtle Hodnett and Frances Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife Fredna Williams Stringer of Bay Springs; his children, Bura Claiborne "Clay" Stringer, Jr. (Kathy) of Greenville, Michael Ray Stringer (Shelley) of Brandon and Jenny Stringer of Bay Springs; his grandchildren, Mitchell Stringer, Madison Stringer, Mary Stringer, Ben Stringer and Lyla Stringer; his great grandchild Wesson Andrew Stringer; and his siblings, Milton Stringer of Pearl, Charles T. Stringer of Bay Springs and Ethelene Ainsworth of Ellisville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
