He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby Newman and Anita Newman; his sisters, Mary Ann Newman Mulkey and Elsie Jean Newman Smith; and his daughter Diana Sue Newman Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Alford Newman; his siblings, Shelby William Newman (Bill), Glenn Earl Newman, Rudolph Paul Newman (Rudy) and Joyce Love Newman; his children, Harold Keith Newman, Sharon Kay Newman Ott (Mike) and Matthew Eric Newman (Susan); and his grandchildren, Becky, Christina, Bryan, Miranda, Mikayla and Kaylen. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, and to honor Harold's love for animals, the family asks you make adonation to Raven Woods Animal Sanctuary in Arcola, Louisiana or Tangi Humane Society in Hammond, Louisiana.
