With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Beverly Ann McCoy of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, who passed away on July 14, 2023 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene B. Hillard and Alton J. Benoit, Sr.; her grandparents, James, Daisy Stewart, Edgar and Clothilide Benoit; her stepfather Benny Hillard; her father-in-law Doc Van McCoy, Jr.; her siblings, Alton Benoit, Jr., Lyman and Pauline Ketchum; her sister-in-law Barbara Vanette Raines; and her great-niece Me'ori Le'Gier.
She is survived by: her husband Doc E. McCoy; her sons, Darryl McCoy (Beonka) of Waco, TX, Randy Lyons (Darnell) of Indianapolis, IN, Roman Lyons of San Antionio, TX and Cordero McCoy; her mother-in-law Barbara McCoy of Athens, GA; her stepmother Elizabeth Benoit of Waveland, MS; her siblings, Dorothy Gooden (Peter Bell) of Gulfport, MS, Leslie Ford (Kelvin), Renee' Sherman (Erik) of Norfolk, VA, Crystal Willis of Atlanta, GA, Shanaiwi Willis of Atlanta, GA, Andre Benoit of Gulfport, MS and Christian "Pedro" Roberts of Pearlington, MS; her grandchildren, Lailah McCoy, Delaney McCoy, Roman Lyons, Jr., Aaliyah Lyons, Tan'niya Moore, Ja'Niya Ann Lyons and Darnell Lyons, Jr.; her godparents, Elaine Parker and Calvin Smith; her godchildren, La'Toya Johnson, Karisma Blackmon, Olivia Dedeaux, Evianta Duvernay and Attieanna McNeely; her cousin Theresa "Terry" Collins; her close friends, Calister Blackmon and Monique Jackson; her brother-in-law Jimmy Smith; her niece Kelvondra Peters; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Chiquita and Rachel Vaughn.
