He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Lois Helmes and Jewel Etoile White Helmes; and his sisters, Ginger Gray, Margaret "Bit" Sides and Teresa "Sissy" Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Helmes of Batesville, MS; his children, Lindsey Helmes Powell (Brandon) of Senatobia, MS, Brad Helmes (Jamie) of Enid, MS and Toby Helmes of Batesville, MS; his siblings, Dorothy Nell Roberson of New Albany, MS, Billy Helmes of Batesville, MS, Bobby Helmes of Batesville, MS and Jimmy Dale Helmes of Pope, MS; his grandchildren, Mitchell Helmes, Kholton Helmes, Amber Helmes, Konnor Helmes, Addy Beth Powell and Nora Kate Powell; and his great grandchildren, Kotton and Karoline Helmes.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask if you wish to make any memorial contributions in Tony's name to do so to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The American Cancer Society, or Enon Baptist Church.
