He is survived by: his wife Bettye Jo Walker Byars of Sardis, MS; his children, Cherish Byars Brown of Caledonia, MS and Jerry Byars of Somerville, TN; his siblings, Melissa Byars Ruby of Terry, MS and Byron Carlton Byars of Bartlett, TN; and his grandchildren, Lauren Brown and Gracen Brown.
