He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas H. Kennedy and Elizabeth Vollmers Kennedy. He is survived by: his children, Antoinette "Toni" Lambert, Wendy Davison, Jennie Joiner (Archie), Mark Kennedy (Stacy) and Eric Kennedy (Cathy); his sister Paula Archer; his wife Mary Kathleen Kennedy; and his siblings, Kim Wright, Forrest and Harold Wright. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
