He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Monroe Eugene Smith and Evelyn Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mary Nell Smith; his sons, Tyler Lee Smith and Ted L. Smith II (Kristin); his grandchildren, Emilee Smith, Zackary "Zack" Smith (Wrennie), Alex Smith, Hart Smith, Ashley Grace Smith, Austin Smith and Steele Smith; his great grandchildren, Harper Smith and Joshua Smith; his brother Gene Smith (Betty); his nieces and nephews, Michael, David Smith, Lezlie, Tiffany and Eve; his uncle Charles McClemore (Patsy); his grandson Ted Lucas "Luke" Smith III; and his sister Sandra.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (104 Panola Ave, Batesville, MS 38606).
