She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lacy Lary, Sr. and Maebelle Comstock Lary; and her siblings, William Lacy "Bill" Lary, Jr., Robert Baird "Bob" Lary, Barbara Jean Lary and Gwendolyn Lary Pulley.
She is survived by: her husband Joe C. Hodges of Courtland, MS; her daughters, Patricia B. Benson (Bobby) of Batesville, Anita H. Farrow of Independence, Donna Hodges of Florence, MS, Peggy H. Moore (Norman) of Nashville, TN and Melanie H. Shuster (Rob) of Germantown, TN.; her grandchildren, Newt Benson, Elizabeth Andrews, Mary Margaret Farrow, Ben Moore, Wil Moore, Sam Shuster and Patrick Shuster; her great grandchildren, Reid, Aiden (Cauthen), Bo, Maebelle, Marlee, Collins and Emmerson; and her sister Sally Pearl Lary Wilkens of Fairhope, AL.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (104 Panola Ave, Batesville, MS 38606). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Magnolia Cemetery.
