It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Bernice Burns Fox of Batesville, Mississippi, who passed away on December 29, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Haywood Clarence Burns and Margaret Bernice Fowler Burns; her son Glen Martin; her grandson Nathan Birdsong; and her siblings, Wayne Burns, James Burns, Tommy Lee Burns, Rocky Burns, Yvonne Martin, Brenda Cagle and Peggy Melton.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Wayne Martin (Bonnie) of Clarksdale, MS, Bryan Keith Martin of Batesville, MS, Michelle Fox Willard (Rodney) of Clarksdale, MS and Melissa Fox Carpenter of Lyon, MS; her daughter-in-law Emily Martin of Courtland, MS; her siblings, Lona Bell Porter of Sardis, MS, Linda Paige of Water Valley, MS, Roy Burns of Courtland, MS and Gary Burns of Memphis, TN; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Martin, Blaire Pierce, Van Alan Peeples, Copeland Peeples, Lacee Carpenter, Carrie Ann Martin, Jacob Simmons, Mallory Jade Robinson and John Scott Simmons. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
