She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey William Walls and Margaret Lucille Birdsong Walls. She is survived by: her daughter Pam Fortner Scott of Courtland, MS; her siblings, Carole Martin (Gary) of Batesville, MS and Thomas Walls (Donna) of Batesville, MS; her grandchildren, Brittany Scott Geotes (Andrew) and Devon Scott (Hannah); her great grandchild Skyler Scott; her pets, Holly, Sassy, Delta-Blue, Doc, Domino "Dummy", Waylon Grace, Jemma, Maizee, Cowboy and Roscoe; her boyfriend Perry Ward; her siblings, Irene, Betty, Margie, Tina, Mickie, Judy, Bennet, Louie and Ed; and also Luke Allen Fortner. She is also survived by numerous sister-in-law's and brothers-in-law.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home (340 MS-35, Batesville, MS 38606).
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that any memorial donations be made in Katie's name to the Panola County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1756, Batesville, MS 38606, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
