He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Potts and Lillie Mae Shields Potts; his son Larry D. Potts, Jr.; and his brother Billy Potts. He is survived by: his daughters, Joy Potts of Batesville, MS and Jackie Potts of Enid, MS; his brother Kevin Potts of Batesville, MS; and his grandchildren, Jennifer McClenic (Brandon), Paige Brewer (Brandon), Jessie Mixon, Branden Potts, Dustin Redwine, Amber Potts, Caitlyn Green, Megan Green and Adam Green. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wells Funeral Home (340 MS-35, Batesville, MS 38606). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Cold Springs Cemetery (2814 Cold Springs Rd, Batesville, MS 38606).
