It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Lee Carson (Batesville, Mississippi), who passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edman Carson and Marjorie Pendergrass Carson. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Mercer Carson; his children, Shea Griffin (Cliff) of Cleveland, TN and Jeffrey L. Carson (Stephanie) of Franklin, TN; his grandchildren, Lauren Denton (Alan) of Chattanooga, TN, Carson Griffin (Olivia) of Chattanooga, TN, Chloe Carson and Stella Carson of Franklin, TN.; his brother James M. "Mike" Carson (Ellen) of Batesville, MS; his niece Amanda Caza (Logan) of Brentwood, TN.; and also Pickwick Lake.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wells Funeral Home (340 MS-35, Batesville, MS 38606). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home (340 MS-35, Batesville, MS 38606). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Forrest Memorial Park (24017 MS-6, Batesville, MS 38606).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Batesville, MS or the charity of your choice in Johnny's honor.
