He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Louis Rivers, Sr. and Jennie Mae Shelton Rivers. He is survived by: his wife Nettie Taylor Rivers of Batesville, MS; his sons, Brett Rivers (Corie) of Hernando, MS, Joel Rivers (Amy) of Batesville, MS and Taylor Rivers (Rebecca) of Batesville, MS; and his grandchildren, Sonni Smith, Reed Rivers, Mac Rivers, Ella Rivers and Meg Rivers. He is also survived by his family, his friends.
The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the First Methodist Church of Batesville.
