It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe David Warrington of Batesville, Mississippi, born in Lambert, Mississippi, who passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Kingsley and Mary Helen Warrington (Romedy); and his siblings, Eloise Willis, Richard Kingsly, Jr., Mildred Bryant (Mickie), Velma Ilene Bounds and Bill Warrington.
He is survived by: his pets, Buck, Fluffy and Sammy; his wife Peggy Jo Wiggs; his children, Joe Warrington, Jr. (Helen), Edith Renee Duhon (Aaron), Kenneth Gary Warrington (Kim), Heather Wertin (Andrew) and Elizabeth Umstead (Walter); his grandchildren, Austin Duhon, Hillary Warrington-Hernandez (Josh), Duncan Warrington (Randa), Benjamin Duhon, Brennan Warrington (Heidi), Taylor Garcia (David), Curtis Roberts III, Zachary Warrington, Madeleine Sorensen (Eric), Baylee Hetzler (Douglas), Preston Umstead, Victoria Doster (Dakota), Isabella Umstead and Catherine Umstead; his great grandchildren, Raelynn Volney, Joseph Warrington, Emmie Warrington, David Garcia and Stormie Garcia; and his siblings, Helen Waller, Leon Warrington, James Warrington, Sheila Ryals and Paul Warrington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
When Joe's health was fading and the pandemic kept him locked down at home, Peggy holed up with him, devoted to his care and comfort, and persevering through a very difficult time.
