Jean Wade Polk Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2025, at the age of 97, Jean Wade Polk of Batesville, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Seaborn and Olive Byrd Wade; and her husband William. She is survived by: her daughters, Brooke Johnson (late Will), Gwen Aldridge (Mickey) and Beth Thomas (Tripp); her grandchildren, Emily Hahn (Chris), Lent Ervin Thomas (Melanie), Don Woods, William Thomas (Rebecca), Wade Aldridge (Whitney), Holly Young (Tice), Jeremy Aldridge (Megan), Lindsay Wynne (Scott) and Anna Aldridge; her sisters-in-law, Edith Polk, Dixie Duckworth and Mary Nell Polk; and her caregivers, Gwen Fondren and Paula Thompson. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (104 Panola Ave, Batesville, MS 38606). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Magnolia Cemetery.
