She was predeceased by: her sister Marjorie Henry Orr; her siblings-in-law, Wayne Orr, Becky Duke Jolley, Gil Jolley and Tommy Duke; and her parents, Norman McLeod Henry and Jane Michie Henry.
She is survived by: her husband Edward "Bubba" Duke, Jr. of Batesville; her children, Edward, III (Mary Kate) of Oxford, Michie Cotton (Jason) of Cleveland, Thomas (Ashley) of Atlanta and Nelson (Caroline Alderson) of Cleveland; her grandchildren, Olivia, Edward Duke, IV of Oxford, Ann Riley and Granger Cotton of Cleveland; her sister Lucia Henry Hoover; and her brother-in-law Charles of Starkville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
Memorial donations can be made in Janie's name to Delta State University Foundation or OLV Building Fund.
