He was predeceased by: his father William R. Thornburg; and his son Jerry Wayne Thornburg. He is survived by: his wife Judy L. Thornburg of Batesville, MS; his daughters, Tracy Qualls (Gerald) of Michie, TN, Tina Thornburg of Brighton, TN and Emily Childress (Daniel) of Oxford, MS; his brother Harold Thornburg of Coldwater, MS; his grandchildren, Amber Malone, Shelby Malone and Chace Potts; and his great grandchildren, Preston Ward and Isaiah Potts.
