He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Bates "J. B." Anderson and Beedy Lorraine Kennedy Anderson; and his great grandchild Sophie Rae Alexander. He is survived by: the mother of his children Towanda Taylor of Pope, MS; his children, Eley K. Anderson, Jr. (Amanda) of Oakland, MS, Jessica Anderson-Little (Samuel) of Batesville, MS and Robert Taylor "Scooter" Anderson, Sr. (Kristina) of Pope, MS; and his brothers, Bobby Anderson (Sherry), Rev. Jay Anderson (Amy) and Darrin Anderson (Heather). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
