He was predeceased by: his parents, Travis Earl Nelson and Catherine Imogene Nelson; his wife Karen Lynn Jaudon Nelson; his sister Jeanette Taylor; and his grandson Nelson Lee Stewart.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Busby (Waylon) of Courtland, Lacey Potts (RJ) of Batesville, William "Scooter" Stewart (Holly) of Oxford and Donald "Tramp" Nelson of Courtland; and his sisters, Renee Brewer and Sue Pittman. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
