He was predeceased by: his father Willie Alvin Herron; his former wife Betty Rosenthal Herron; his wife Nancy Walters Herron; and his brother Jimmy Herron. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Herron Massey (Chris) of Nesbit, MS, Jeff Herron (Sandy) of Hernando, MS and John Herron (Maryana) of Millersville, MD; his stepsons, Randy Walters (Debbie) of McAlester, OK and Matt Walters (Laneia) of Rolla, MO; and his sister Betty Hudson of Batesville, MS. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mississippi State Troopers Association.
