As we bid Barbara Jean farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara Jean is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil E. McMinn and Dorothy Jean Ellis McMinn; and her sisters, Sherry Ann Bolton, Brenda Gail Campbell and Wanda Mae Shields.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Russell (Chris) of Batesville, MS and Crystal Dawn Mills of Batesville, MS; and her grandchildren, Levi Martin, Phoenix Barringer, Emma Purser and Peyton Russell.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Forrest Memorial Park (340 MS-35, Batesville, MS 38606). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Eureka Cemetery.
