He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Riley Melton and Avalene Brazil McDonald; his parents-in-law, Mack and Alice Price; his brother Don Melton; and his son-in-law Ned Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Melton Johnson of Ratliff and Ryan Melton (Courtney) of Mantachie; his grandchildren, Hannah, Addison Smith of Carthage, Brayden Johnson of Ratliff, Gresham, Fifi Melton of New Albany, Kaitlyn Walton and Payton Baxter of Mantachie; and his brother Jimmy Dale Melton of Tampa, FL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
