He was predeceased by: his son Marvin Reece; his brothers, James, William and Robert Reece; and his parents, Jimmy Reece and Beatrice Reece.

He is survived by: his son Maris Reece (Jennifer); his grandson Garrett Lee Reece (Bailey); his stepgrandson Dylan Lee; his niece Jennifer Strange; and his great-niece Sadie Strange. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
