He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Carter and Lilian Carter; his wife Cindy Carter; and his brothers, John and Gary Carter.
He is survived by: his sons, Kyle Carter (Edie) of Henderson, TN, Devin Carter of Blackland and Drew Carter (Christy) of Blackland; his siblings, Mike Carter (Cheryl) of Marietta, Larry Dunlap (Rhonda) of Glen, Martin Valente of New Jersey, Donna Carter Reese of Hills Chapel and Judy Dunlap; and his grandchildren, Annalynn, Elijah, Mason, Kelsee and Eli Carter. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
