He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Stewart and Hilda Duke Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Billie Jean Rice Stewart of Tupelo; his daughter Athena Mathis (Jimmy) of Saltillo; his grandsons, Travis Mathis and Calvin Mathis; and his brother-in-law Larry Rice (Judy) of Savannah, TN.
