He was predeceased by: his parents, Millie Mae Hefner and Robert Lee Buchanan; his wife Eva; and his children, Joyce Marie Buchanan and Sandy Glynn Durham.

He is survived by: his sisters, Rachel, Annie and Mattie; and his daughter Ethel Mae Warren (Charles) of Terry. He is also survived by four Grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
