He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Horton and Ethel Stafford Horton; and his siblings, Flora Etta Bernice Horton, Mary Elizabeth Horton, Evaline Horton Dugard, Ruby Horton Bounds Bell, Junior Horton, Vernon Horton, Leonard "Bill" Horton, Alton "Jack" Horton and Jesse Calvin Horton.

He is survived by: his brothers, Harold Horton and Danny Horton.
