She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayman Elrod and Grace Fortner; and her brothers, David Elrod and Tim Elrod. She is survived by: her husband Jesus "Jesse" Atkinson of Pratts; her children, Charles "Chuck" Scott (Amanda) of Tupelo, Steven Floyd (Toni) of Guntown, Kim Harper (Scotty) of Tupelo and Crystal Michaels (Jerry) of Guntown; her sisters, Judy Criddle of Belmont and Sheila Elrod (Dorce Ray) of Booneville; and her grandchildren, Kelsie Porter, Malarie Scott, Addie Harper, Tyler Michaels, Ryan Michaels, Summer Scott, Brayden Robertson, Alexandria Scott, Caleb Scott, Kayla Floyd and Christopher Floyd. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kesler Funeral Home, Inc. (116 S 3rd St, Baldwyn, MS 38824). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Baldwyn Chapel.
