He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Edward Henry and Jewell Lois Potts Henry; and his siblings, Johnny Edward, William Douglas and Carolyn Sue Henry Baldwin.
He is survived by: his sister Marilea Henry Gosa; his former wife Jeannett Nations Henry; and his sons, Jack and James Edward Henry. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces and nephews and 7 great-great nieces and nephews.
He continued an active retirement until the corona virus made him a prime target. James never caught Covid 19, the effort to avoid contamination was a trial to his once active life.
