With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Horace R. McCombs (Baldwyn, Mississippi), who passed away on May 24, 2022 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin McCombs and Lena McCombs; his former wife Lessie Ree McCombs (Riddle); his daughter Carole South (Bobby); and his siblings, George, Leo McCombs, Mildred Winsette and Kathy Graham.
He is survived by: his wife Hildred McCombs; his children, Brenda Dear of Oakton, VA and Ronnie McCombs (Carolyn) of Rienzi, MS; his stepchildren, David Pettigo (Shelia) and Charlene Webb (Danny); his grandchildren, Mark Tabor (Tracy), Kim Sissom (Pat), Carissa Dear (Paolo Iafrati), Cerena Young (Duane), Danielle King (Robbie) and Carlena Benjamin (Burton); his sister Virginia Young (Ray); and his great grandchildren, Mark Tabor, Coleton Tabor, Patrick Sissom, Alex King, Max King and Tate King. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren.
