He was predeceased by: his wife Regina Rowan; his parents, Harold Rowan and Lula Mae Rowan; his sister Janice Smithey; and his nephew Kevin Smithey.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Samples (Keith) of Baldwyn and Sherry Payne (Shan) of Saltillo; his sister Connie Roberts of Baldwyn; his grandchildren, Brittany Samples (Nathan), Brandie Vance (Jacob), Jacob Payne and Anna Kate Payne; and his great grandchildren, Caleb Vance, Kaiden Vance, Hayden Pannell and Addilyn Pannell.
