He is survived by: his children, Donald Yates (Nancy) of Jumpertown, Danny Yates of Richland, MS, Jennifer Yates (Ted Black) of Jumpertown, Janet Whiteside of Ecru, MS, Debbie Cottles (Mitchell Hayden) of Booneville, Judy Froning Cooper (Barry) of Daytona Beach, FL and Kathy Schmid (Gregg) of Escondido, CA; his brothers, Anthony Yates of Jumpertown and David Yates of Jumpertown; and his grandchildren, Emily Norris (Matt), Brandon Butler (Carley), Katie Fowler, Casey Whiteside, Jack Whiteside, Matt Whiteside, Chris Whiteside, Michael Jones, Dustin Jones, Heather Nichols (Lynn), David Cooper (Lauren), Matthew Schmid (Ann Marie) and Brian Schmid (Brittany). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
