He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Surene McCarley; his parents, Calvin McCarley and Violet Steed McCarley; his daughter RuthEllon Owens; his siblings, Opal Swinney, J. C. McCarley and Chalmers McCarley; and his grandchildren, Kristy Armstrong and Justin Armstrong.
He is survived by: his daughter JoEllen Armstrong (James); his grandchildren, Brandon Owens (Panda), Jayme Armstrong (Stephanie), Little Wayne Owens (Aleshia), Bronzie Armstrong (Josh), Kaylee Owens and Shonda Owens; and his great grandchildren, Thomas Owens, Jacob Troy, Hunter Carson, Haley Carson, Blake Troy, Zoe Troy, John Smith, Breanna Armstrong, Andrew Owens, Preston Owens, Conner May, Kolten May, Surenity May and Waynie Ownes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
